In 1890, the Raventós Poch family, dedicated to vine growing and winemaking in the Penedés region, produced their first bottles of natural sparkling wine (cava) using the "Champenoise" method.

In 1918 the effort and professionalism of the family made it possible for the brands Lacrima Baccus and Lavernoya to be among the most reputable in the market.

In 1966, after different family successions, what initially started as a family business was transformed into a company: Cavas Lavernoya, S. A.

Nowadays, being faithful to the effort and experience of many generations, the technology required to guarantee all the quality and prestige that the passage of time has given them has been incorporated into the traditional methods of production.
