Gerovassiliou Malagosia

Gerovassiliou Malagosia

Gerovassiliou Malagousia is crafted from a grape variety that was saved from extinction by Vangelis Gerovassiliou. The winemaking process begins with a cold maceration of the grapes with their skins, which enhances the extraction of flavors and aromas. The must is then divided for fermentation: part of it is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18°C, while the rest is fermented in French oak barrels. This dual approach allows for a blend of crisp freshness and rich complexity. After fermentation, the wine is aged on its lees for several months, which contributes to its structure and body, resulting in a well-rounded and full-bodied wine

  • Appearance: The wine presents a vibrant yellow hue with subtle golden undertones, reflecting its rich character.

  • Nose: On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of floral notes, citrus zest, and hints of stone fruits, complemented by subtle oak nuances.

  • Palate: The palate is rich and textured, with flavors of peach, apricot, and a hint of vanilla, supported by a crisp acidity that enhances its freshness and longevity.
