Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5 año

Valbuena is the purest expression of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) at Vega Sicilia. The blend that makes up this magnificent wine is overwhelmingly dominated by Tinto Fino as the main grape variety. The other variety used is Merlot, which is included to a greater or lesser extent depending on the vintage.

The Tempranillo for Valbuena comes from plots located on gently sloping concave hillsides that descend from the high plateau. These soils originated from material that eroded over time and accumulated as colluvium on the lower slopes, resulting in highly expressive soils with significant evolution, marked by the formation of a deep calcareous horizon.
