La Val Albariño
LA VAL ALBARIÑO 2023 is a wine made from 100% Albariño grapes from a blend of different vineyards of the winery, combining characteristics from the three typical soils of the denomination. Its production includes manual harvesting in 20 kg boxes, pre-fermentation maceration of 40% of the grapes at 10°C for 4 hours, gentle pressing with selection of the best free-run must, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16/17°C. After racking, the wine remains with its fine lees for three months.
This wine exhibits a perfect balance between the characteristics provided by each terroir: acidity from Taboexa's granite, fruitiness from the alluvial and pebble soils of Arantei and Porto, and minerality from Vilachán's schist. The result is a fresh wine with moderate alcohol content (12.5%), excellent acidity and remarkable aromatic expression, a faithful reflection of the 2023 vintage, which was one of the earliest in the history of the Denomination.
