Majuelos de Callejo Tinto

Majuelos de Callejo Tinto

  • D.O. Ribera del Duero

The grapes come from several plots selected to obtain an ideal maturation to make this wine. The fermentation, with indigenous yeasts, begins at a low temperature and ends at 30ºC. The maceration is prolonged with the grape skins for another 15 days. It is barreled in new French oak barrels and 1 year old to perform the malolactic fermentation. The aging is prolonged in the same barrels for 18 months with racking to eliminate lees.

Color: Purplish cherry colour well covered.

Nose: It is complex and very aromatic. Great elegance with notes of plum, blueberry, blackberry, pepper, thyme, cocoa powder, fine leathers, leaves, aromatic woods

Palate: Its passage in mouth is very juicy, wide, fresh of great structure and balance, sensations of red and black fruit, floral, undergrowth, cinnamon, nutmeg, notes of pastry. Long end primary, dairy and spicy.
