This great Casa Castillo Cuvée N is a tribute to Nemesio Vicente, alma mater of the Murcian winery, who passed away in April 2017. It is the jewel in Casa Castillo's crown, crafted by his son, Jose María Vicente. It is a single varietal Monastrell from old vines of small production with a great capacity for ageing and evolution. Its floral skeleton, of black fruits and spices, is covered by a formidable freshness in the mouth not without power and a subtle chalky texture that make it a perfumed and elegant wine.
Tasting note
Appearance: deep garnet red colour. Nose: aromas of black fruits and esparto grass, with the presence of balsamic notes and scrubland. Palate: juicy, fatty and full-bodied, although paradoxically fresh and light at the same time.
