In the heart of Serralunga d'Alba, Giovanni Rosso cultivates the grapes for his Barbera d'Alba with passion. The manual harvest in October is a crucial moment, where each bunch is carefully selected. In the winery, the grapes are macerated for 10 to 15 days, releasing their secrets and colors. Then, the wine ages in 50-hectoliter French oak barrels for 6 to 9 months, allowing a gentle oxidation that softens the tannins and adds a silky texture.
