A Villeira

Avilleira grows in centenary vines in the northern part of the Valdeorras region in the village of "As Ermitas" in terraces built in stone by hand in the nineteenth century, these terraces are located on the southern slope of the river Bibei. The age of the vineyards, all goblet trained, range from 10 years old (replacement of faults) to pre-war. The terrain is granitic and due to its orography the only way to work the soil is manually or with animals. Sustainable viticulture is carried out. Manual harvest in 15 kg boxes, grape selection and fermentation in small oak vats with whole clusters. Fermentation with indigenous yeast.
