The wines of Dominio de Eguren come from a rigorous selection of vineyards controlled by our property and located in a privileged area of ​​Castilla-La Mancha, located near 700 m altitude, with an age between 30-70 years and with a controlled production.

An area characterized by a continental climate, with Mediterranean influences by the Levante winds, with cold winters and hot, dry summers and high luminosity.

The high temperatures of each day caused by the winds of the west, against the coolness and humidity of the Mediterranean breeze at night, produce a wide thermal gradient, which favors the synthesis of polyphenols throughout a prolonged period of maturation.

Rainfall is scarce, usually less than 400 mm per year. The usual limitation of rainfall from May to September makes the health of the harvest patent, so they are cultivated in an almost ecological way.

The vineyards, planted to the "real frame" with a density close to 1,200 plants / Ha, are kneeling on a clay soil with a calcareous base, poor in organic matter and capable of retaining the water of the first phases of the vegetative cycle before the arrival of the dry summer months.

The harvested varieties are the Tempranillo or its synonymy Cencibel, Bobal, Aíren and Macabeo, perfectly acclimated to this wine-growing area. They are harvested manually since the end of September, always under the supervision and quality standards set by the Eguren family, obtaining berries with a large polyphenolic load inks and terpene in white.
