Autumn with normal temperatures. Extremely mild winter. Spring continues with warmer than normal temperatures. It was a year of exceptional rainfall, with a total of 807 l/m2. The summer months were very dry. The vegetative cycle was extremely advanced due to the very high winter temperatures. Sprouting on the earliest varieties was advanced to the end of February, something never seen before. The other varieties were also advanced by 2-3 weeks. The rainfall, together with the high humidity and temperatures and advanced growth for the dates, led to the appearance of mildew. The fungus reduced production. This fact, together with the summer drought, meant that the remaining grapes ripened more quickly and the harvest was brought forward.
